CareSource Foundation
The CareSource Foundation devotes resources toward non-profit organizations who are improving the lives of the underserved in Ohio and Michigan. The Foundation provides grants to health and human service entities for focused, innovative and impact-based programs that improve the quality of health care and delivery services.
In addition, the Foundation coordinates opportunities for community outreach, medical expertise, strategic community partnerships and volunteerism.
The Foundation funds two types of grants:
- Targeted areas of need
- Moderate grant amounts
- Given to individual non-profit organizations or collaboration of non-profits
- Simple grant proposal format
- Single year grant
- Highly targeted areas of need
- Childhood obesity
- Issues of the uninsured
- Large-scale grants on all levels
- Significant grant proposal format including formal letter of intent and presentation to Foundation Board of Trustees
- Single or multiple year funding
- High level of Foundation involvement and community/statewide/national visibility
