Pamela Morris, President and CEO
Pamela Morris has more than 30 years of executive-level experience in managed health care and the public sector. Morris pioneered Ohio's first mandatory Medicaid managed care program when she launched CareSource in 1989. With more than 880,000 members in Ohio and Michigan generating $2.5 billion in revenue, CareSource is the second largest Medicaid managed care plan in the nation. In addition to being a 2007 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year®, Morris and her executive team were named Top Leadership Team in Healthcare for health plans in 2008 by HealthLeaders Media. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Dayton Power and Light Company (NYSE:DPL) and is Board Chair of Greater Dayton United Way and Hospice of Dayton. Morris earned a B.A. from West Virginia University.
Bobby Jones, Chief Operating Officer
With more than 30 years experience in both Medicaid and Medicare, Bobby Jones has been a strong proponent for public sector health care at both the state and national levels. He has an extensive background in executive leadership for national managed care organizations and a proven record of accomplishment for creating operational efficiencies. At CareSource, Jones oversees all day-to-day operations. He earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Economics from Wayne State University and a master's degree in Public Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
Craig Thiele, M.D., Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Craig Thiele has more than 25 years of clinical leadership experience with a strong background in integration strategies. Thiele oversees clinical and quality areas at CareSource. He believes the best opportunities for improved outcomes result from aligning objectives and enhancing partnerships. His background includes national medical executive experience and internal medicine. Thiele earned his medical degree at the Wright State University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine.
Dan McCabe, Chief Administrative Officer
Dan provides strategic leadership and oversight of CareSource’s administrative functions including Human Resources, CareSource University, Enterprise Risk Management, Vendor Management and the CareSource Foundation. Prior to CareSource, Dan was the Senior Vice President and the Chief Administrative Officer for DP&L and was with AT&T and the NCR Corporation for more than 25 years. Dan holds two advanced degrees, an Executive MBA in International Management and Finance and a Master’s in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, both from Rutgers University. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Moravian College. He serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Arts and Sciences for the University of Dayton and for the Ohio Aerospace Hub. He is also a Board Member for the Boy Scouts of America Miami Valley Council, the Dayton Region Chamber of Commerce and the DP&L Foundation.
Janet Grant, Executive Vice President of External Affairs and Corporate Compliance Officer
Janet Grant has more than 25 years of leadership experience across the health care spectrum including managed care, hospital administration, and geriatric services. At CareSource, Grant is responsible for all corporate regulatory relationships as well as compliance activities. She also oversees government affairs and health care policy for CareSource. She serves in appointed positions on the Ohio Health Care Coverage and Quality Council, the Ohio Long Term Care System Work Group and the Ohio Medical Care Advisory Committee. Grant earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Moorhead State University in Minnesota and an MBA from Wright State University.
Paul Stoddard, Chief Information Officer
Paul Stoddard has over 27 years of experience as an information technology (IT) leader. Paul served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. In that role he was responsible for all aspects of information technology including systems development and support, business intelligence and data warehousing, web development, technology infrastructure, IT architecture, security and compliance. In addition, he has extensive managed care experience. At CareSource, he oversees the development of information technology strategy, IT delivery and business intelligence and informatics. He received an MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo and is a native of upstate New York.
Tarlton Thomas, III, Chief Financial Officer
Tarlton Thomas has 18 years of financial leadership experience, including nearly 15 years with the Standard Register Company, prior to joining CareSource in October 2007. Thomas oversees regulatory reporting, financial forecasting, and projections while serving as an advisor on financial aspects of contracts. He received his CPA license in the State of Ohio in 2000 and is currently a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. Thomas earned dual bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance from Wright State University.
Mark Chilson, Executive Vice President & General Counsel
Mark Chilson has more than 30 years experience in institutional health care and health care litigation. Chilson has represented CareSource since its inception in 1989. Prior to joining CareSource in 2010, he was a partner with Bricker and Eckler and Young and Alexander. Chilson is an Ohio Super Lawyer, as well as an Ohio Super Lawyer Corporate Counsel. Chilson provides legal advice on a wide range of topics related to health care law. He is a member of the American, Ohio, and Dayton Bar Associations as well as the American Health Lawyers Association. Chilson earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin and his law degree from the University of Dayton.
