Member Information

Welcome!

At CareSource, our main goal is to keep our members healthy. We cover all services required by Michigan Medicaid.

CareSource gives you access to your own doctor - a doctor who handles all of your medical needs. We call this your Medical Home. Your doctor can also direct you to a specialist or hospital, when needed. CareSource offers care through participating health centers and private doctors across the state.

Coverage from head to toe

You can turn to us for many health services. These include:

  • Doctors visits

Join our Board of Directors

Do you have ideas for how CareSource can better serve our members? We want you to help lead our health care plan. We invite you to be part of the process.

CareSource's Board of Directors has responsibilities like:

  • Overseeing the entire health care plan
  • Approving ideas for its management
  • Keeping track of how the plan is doing

The Board of Directors is your chance to be heard. The Board is made up of other members and professionals, all people who care about CareSource.

How to join

To be on the Board of Directors, you must apply and be able to attend four-to-six meetings a year. Most meetings are held by telephone, and some are in Okemos, Michigan, near Lansing. We will reimburse your expenses. You must be a CareSource member.

If you're interested in joining the Board of Directors, please call Member Services at 1-800-390-7102. Ask for a Board of Directors application. Your application will be reviewed and, if there is a member board vacancy, you'll be contacted.
