CareSource Hires New VP of Information Technology, Promotes Smith
DAYTON, Ohio, September 13, 2011 – CareSource, a public-sector managed care company, has hired Samuel George as the new Vice President of Information Technology. He will be responsible for all application development and support, technology and IT infrastructure and the internal HelpDesk service and support.
George comes from Nationwide Insurance in Columbus where he spent 10 years in multiple IT management roles with the most recent position as Vice President of Nationwide's agency solutions technology group responsible for software and infrastructure for exclusive insurance agents. In his previous role, he managed a group of 300 IT professionals and led the organization in successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Prior to Nationwide, George held development and IT management positions at Drugstore.com in Seattle and National Data Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Mysore University in India.
CareSource is also pleased to announce Jackie Smith has been promoted to Vice President for CareSource University. CSU provides a full-service career planning and development resource for employees to further their personal and professional growth and development.

Smith has been with CareSource for 10 years. She was instrumental in building CareSource University to a nationally recognized program. Earlier this year under Smith's leadership, CSU was named number 10 on Training Magazine's Top 125 list. Smith also oversees the employee engagement survey process, orientation, new hire programs and performance management.
