AARP – Non-profit organization that empowers people over 50 (and their caregivers) to choose how they live as they age through programs, advocacy, and education.

Aging Care – Aging Care has a large collection of articles and education topics for those caring for aging adults. They also have an active online community of support for caregivers.

Caregiver Action Network – National organization that provides education, resources, and support to those who care for loved ones with chronic conditions, disabilities, disease, or old age.

Family Acceptance Project – The Family Acceptance Project is a research, intervention, education and policy initiative that works to prevent health and mental health risks for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) children and youth, including suicide, homelessness and HIV.

Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) – FCA has information and resources that provide support and education to caregivers and champions caregivers through research, advocacy, and services nationwide.

Family Voices – Organization that has information on health care policies specifically related to children with special needs.

Generations United – Resources include information on existing state laws and policies affecting grandparents raising grandchildren.

NAMI Arkansas – Non-profit organization whose mission is to help people living with mental illness, their families, and the community.

National Federation of Families – Advocate at the national level for the rights of families who have children with emotional, behavioral, mental health and substance use challenges – across the lifespan.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) – NIMH offers expert-reviewed information on mental disorders, a range of related topics, and the latest mental health research. 

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services – Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
