Disaster Reconstruction Funds from FHLB Cincinnati Available for Dayton-Area Families Affected by Tornadoes

(Dayton, Ohio – August 21, 2019)

A coalition of financial institutions and nonprofit organizations are working to provide assistance to Dayton-area homeowners needing repair from tornado damage. This coalition will tap a $5 million fund made available through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati’s Disaster Reconstruction Program (DRP).

Coalition partners are CareSource, Huntington Bank, KeyBank, County Corp, Rebuilding Together Dayton, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton and the Miami Valley Community Action Partnership. Homeowners in Greene, Miami and Montgomery counties who need to repair their homes following the storms may be eligible for grants of up to $20,000 toward repair of their primary residences.

The Foodbank to Hold Mass Distribution in Greene County

(Dayton, Ohio – August 16, 2019)

The Foodbank will be hosting a mass distribution on Friday, August 23rd for people in need of food assistance in Greene County in the parking lot of the Nutter Center from 9am to 11am.

The Foodbank works with food pantries across Montgomery, Greene, and Preble counties to feed people who qualify for food assistance. On August 23rd, The Foodbank will be giving out food to individuals through a mass distribution at the Wright State University’s Nutter Center. Individuals are welcome to come to the Nutter Center at 9am where they will receive fresh produce and other products at no cost. CareSource is sponsoring the event and will be volunteering their time to help pass out the food.

CareSource partners with Batesville Community Schools to Bring Telehealth to Elementary Students

(Batesville, IN August 1, 2019)

When Batesville Primary students return to school this year, they will now have the opportunity to see a doctor without having to leave the building.

A new school-based virtual care program will connect students needing medical attention to a pediatrician from Margaret Mary Health. Students meet with a school nurse in a private room, using video conference tools and telehealth equipment funded by CareSource.

IU Health, CareSource partner on mental wellness program for teens and young adults

(Indianapolis July 31, 2019)

Teens and young adults at Orleans Junior and Senior High School now have the opportunity to be seen by a therapist without leaving school.

“Today’s students face issues that are unique to their generation. Even though families in our community want to help their children navigate these difficult years of life, many just can’t relate to their distinctive issues,” says Chris Stevens, Ed.D., principal of Orleans Junior and Senior High School. “We chose to partner with IU Health and CareSource as a way to offer high-quality, affordable, and timely mental health care to our students. We believe this program will help students not only survive their Junior High and High School years, but also thrive during those years.”

CareSource and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta Provide Memberships for Holistic Well-being

A Partnership in “Service” and “Community”

CareSource and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta have renewed their commitment to CareSource members with free family memberships to the 18 YMCA branch locations across metro Atlanta. The partnership initially began in July of 2018 and was so well received, it has been extended.

Both non-profits have a history of going beyond to identify non-traditional member benefits, which include: fitness/wellness, programs and specialized classes in order to promote healthy spirit, mind and body. All of which, help improve the lives of members and the community as a whole. CareSource members have the opportunity to enroll in a family membership to have access to the YMCA’s state of the art facilities that also provide free childcare while members workout. Additional, no-cost benefits include: personal coaching, group exercise classes, weight-loss management and a nationally recognized Diabetes Prevention Program.

Glassdoor announced its 2019 Employees’ Choice Awards for the highest-rated CEOs today and CareSource CEO Erhardt Preitauer ranks #20 on the list.

Preitauer joins household names like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg who previously appeared on Glassdoor’s list of companies with 1,000 or more employees. One of the world’s largest job and recruiting websites, Glassdoor releases the annual award to recognize the top leaders that employees love working for in countries throughout North America and parts of Europe.
