CareSource health plans for individuals and families cover many benefits, including preventive care. Some services need our approval before you get them. Review your plan documents to make sure you get the most from your health insurance. You can also contact us with any questions about your plan coverage.

On Exchange Plans

These plans are offered through the Georgia Access® (Exchange). If you choose a SILVER On-Exchange plan, you may be able to get help to lower your costs for care. Types of help include:

  • Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC)
  • Cost Sharing Reduction (CSR) plans

Off Exchange Plans

  • May cost less each month than On-Exchange plans.
  • Provide the same protections as On-Exchange plans.
  • Cover the same basic health benefits, preventive care and care for health problems you had before you joined.
  • Do not qualify for financial help like APTC and CSRs.

*Do you expect to have many doctor visits, prescriptions or other health care needs? A Gold plan may be a good choice for you.

**Starting January 1, 2027, Teladoc Health® telehealth services are included with all plans at $0 cost. Telehealth visits through other providers are subject to standard cost-sharing.

***The Marketplace decides if you can get a Cost Sharing Reduction (CSR). A CSR may lower your deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. It is based on your household size and income.

Evidence of Coverage (EOC)

The Evidence of Coverage is an important legal document. It is your contract with CareSource. It explains your rights, responsibilities and obligations as a plan member. It also tells you:

  • How the plan works.
  • The services the plan covers.
  • Any rules or limits for covered services.
  • The health care services the plan does not cover.
  • What you pay for covered services, such as your yearly deductible, copays and coinsurance.
