Section 508 isa federal law that requires agencies to provide people with disabilities equal access to electronic information and data comparable to those who do not have disabilities, unless doing so would impose an undue burden on the agency. • Provide services and programs in the most integrated setting appropriate to the needs of the qualified individual with a disability,
  • Ensure that all covered programs, services, activities, and facilities are accessible,

The regulations implementing the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA require that we provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, such as blind or vision impaired be provided with auxiliary aids at no cost to allow them an Equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from healthcare services. The decision regarding the method to be used for communication requires the input of any individual requiring auxiliary aids, and their choice must be given primary consideration.
