Health and Wellness
Routine dental checkups and dental cleanings are covered under Hoosier Healthwise, HIP Plus, HIP State Plus, and HIP State Basic and HIP Maternity plans. You can find a network dental provider by using our Find a Doctor/Provider search tool. We encourage you to get a dental checkup every six months. Some services may require a referral from your dentist and/or prior authorization from CareSource. Your dentist will make the request on your behalf. Depending on your plan, you may have more benefits. Please contact Member Services if you have questions about your dental benefit coverage.

Health Needs Screening
All members can earn a $20 gift card each year for taking the Health Needs Screening. It is quick and easy, and it helps find ways you can stay healthy! You can take it online through My CareSource®, through a health kiosk in the pharmacy at your local Walmart, by calling 1-844-207-6137 or by mail.
Getting the proper care when you are pregnant is not just good medicine, it’s rewarding, too! Earn rewards for going to the doctor while you are pregnant and after your baby is born. Learn more about the Babies First program.
Please Note: CareSource wants to make sure you have what you need for each new baby. Please enroll every time you are pregnant. It’s easy to do. Just complete the Babies First Registration Form, click “Submit” and you’re done! Your My CareSource Rewards® Card will be loaded for your new baby.
Through MyHealth, adults 18 and up have access to an interactive health assessment and personalized health tools. Track exercise goals. Get small step interactive guides that help you manage health and wellness topics specific to your needs. You can even earn rewards for some activities. Take charge of your mental health and try our wellness tool called myStrength. This is a safe and secure tool designed just for you. It offers personalized support to help improve your mood, mind, body and spirit. You can access it online or on your mobile device at no cost to you. myStrength offers online learning, empowering self-help tools, wellness resources and inspirational quotes and articles.

Sometimes you need medical care, but you can’t see your primary medical provider (PMP).CareSource makes it easy to get care for common health needs. For information about all of the options available to you, see where to get care.
CareSource24: 24-Hour Nurse Advice Line
You can call CareSource24® the 24-Hour Nurse Advice Line any time you have a question about your health. A caring registered nurse will answer your questions and can even help you decide what kind of care you need. Nurses are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The number is on your member ID card.
Convenience Care Clinics and Urgent Care Centers
Need care quick or after hours? The CareSource network includes urgent care centers and retail health clinics inside drug and grocery stores to help you get care when and where you need it. These clinics often have evening and weekend hours and allow walk-ins. You can find these network providers through our online search tool, Find a Doctor.
MYidealDOCTORTM lets you see a board certified physician anywhere, anytime using your phone, mobile app or computer. It’s ideal for common illnesses, like cold/flu, allergies, rashes, cough, sinus infection and more when you can’t see your PMP.

All HIP* and HHW Package A and C** Plans include transportation (rides) benefits. Rides to the locations listed below are covered under the non-emergency transportation (NEMT) benefit:
- Any covered doctor visit or health care appointment
- The local Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office
- Service redetermination appointments with the state
- CareSource sponsored events
Please call 1-844-607-2829 to arrange a ride at least two business days before your appointment. You can also call us if you have a ride concern or issue. Remember, if you have an emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the nearest ER.
*HIP Basic members that do not receive dental, vision or chiropractic coverage are not eligible for transportation to those appointments.
**HHW C members are eligible for ambulance transport between medical facilities when requested by a participating physician with a $10 copay.

Right Choices Program (RCP)
The RCP monitors utilization of Indiana Medicaid members who have been identified as over-utilizing or inappropriately using Medicaid services. The goal of the RCP is to provide quality health care through education and intervention that includes restrictions to specific physicians, pharmacy, and hospital providers (lock-in providers). The RCP manages member utilization through intensive member education and case management.
If you would like to refer someone to be considered for the RCP, please email the lockin program and provide the following information:
