Preferred Drug List

The Preferred Drug List (PDL) is a list of the drugs that we like our providers to prescribe. It is in line with the Statewide Uniform Preferred Drug List (SUPDL). We cover all medically necessary Medicaid-covered drugs. The PDL may have more than one drug for treating a condition. Some of the drugs are generic. This means that they are not name brand. They are comparable to the name brand drug and work the same way.

The PDL you use will depend on the plan you have. It includes SUPDL preferred products. It will also have products in categories outside of the SUPDL.

1. Go to https://inm.pharmacy.optum.com/inm/prelogin.
2. Click Preferred Products at the top of the page.
3. Choose Statewide Uniform Preferred Drug List from the Preferred Products dropdown menu to launch the SUPDL.

How to Request a Medicine Not on the PDL

You can ask us to cover a medicine that is not on our PDL. This is called asking for an exception. Please fill out this form to ask for an exception or call Member Services at 1-833-687-7370 (TTY: 711).

Prior Authorization

Some prescriptions may need prior authorization. This means that a drug will need to be approved before you can fill it. Your provider can make this request for you. Learn more about prior authorization.
