CareSource partners with TriWest Healthcare Alliance, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), so that CareSource network providers may provide care as part of the VA Patient-Centered Community Care Program (VA PCCC).
TriWest Healthcare Alliance
TriWest Healthcare Alliance is an Arizona-based corporation that manages health benefits under the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). TriWest has worked collaboratively with the VA to support programs that offer veterans care outside of VA facilities—referred to as “community care”—across 28 states in the western and southern U.S.

Patient-Centered Community Care
The Patient-Centered Community Care (PC3) program includes a private network of primary care and specialty care physicians from across the country who have signed a contract with TriWest to see veterans when VA is unable to provide care directly.
Veterans Choice Program
Through the Veterans Choice Program (VCP), all eligible veterans have an option to seek health care with private care providers in the community. The VCP is veteran-driven, meaning Veterans choose whether to opt-in, rather than VA making the choice for them. As a provider, you may be contacted by TriWest or a veteran regarding the VCP.
