John Koehn, President, Commonwealth Care Alliance and CareSource Market President, Massachusetts

John Koehn, President, Massachusetts MarketJohn Koehn is the president of CareSource’s Massachusetts market, guiding the organization’s strategy and execution following its affiliation with Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA). In this role, he works closely with CareSource and CCA leadership to strengthen integration and operations to enhance the services and support available to individuals with complex health needs in Massachusetts.

John is an experienced health care leader with deep expertise in integrated Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) and managed care operations. He previously served as market president for AmeriHealth Caritas’s LTSS program in Pennsylvania, where he led the organization to its first profitable year, enabling reinvestment in members and communities. Additionally, he served as health plan president for Amerigroup New Jersey, implementing strategies that resulted in the highest quality scores in the state. Most recently, John served as senior vice president of external affairs for InnovAge, where he led state and federal government relations efforts.

John’s leadership is anchored in commitment to operational excellence and improving the member and caregiver experience. His ability to bring together innovative care delivery models and strong community partnerships supports CareSource and CCA’s efforts to grow and strengthen services for vulnerable populations across Massachusetts.

He earned a Master of Arts in history from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Connecticut.
