Find My Prescriptions
If you are a member, your plan name is on your member ID card. Members and health partners may be contacted by a pharmacist to discuss medications. We encourage members to talk with their pharmacists about their medications. This can help members to get the best results from the drugs they are taking.
Humana – CareSource uses a formulary or preferred drug list, also called a PDL. These are drugs that we prefer your provider prescribe. Click the Find My Prescriptions link to see what drugs and medical supplies are covered.
There are three ways to find out if a medicine is covered.
|Alphabetical Search||Brand & Generic Name Search||Therapeutic Class Search|
|Click on the first letter of the name of your medicine. For example, if you want to know if Diovan is covered, you will click on “D.”||Type in the first four letters of the generic or brand name. For example, if you want to know if Diovan is covered, type in “Diov.”||Every drug falls into a group or type of medicine called therapeutic class.|
|After doing this, it will take you to a list of all the medicines that begin with the letter “D.” Click on the name of your medicine and the dose to see if it is covered by Humana – CareSource.||After doing this, it will take you to a list of all of the medicines that begin with those four letters. Click on the name of the medicine and the dose you take to see if it is covered by Humana – CareSource.||You will see a list of all the therapeutic class names. Click on the therapeutic class of your medicine.|
|After doing this, it will take you to a list of all the subclass names. Click on the name of your medicine and the dose you take to see if it is covered by Humana – CareSource.|
Note: This search tool is designed to assist you with determining drug coverage. You may also search the Drugs that Require Prior Authorization List for medications that require prior authorization.
