Pediatric Dental Benefits
CareSource provides pediatric dental benefits for children up to the end of the month in which they turn 21 years of age. All benefits are subject to the definitions, limitations, and exclusions in this EOC and are payable only when they are deemed “Medically Necessary” for the prevention, diagnosis, care, or treatment of a covered person and meet generally accepted dental protocols and
Adult Dental Benefits
The optional CareSource dental, vision and fitness plan, purchased at an additional cost, provides adult dental benefits for members aged 19 and older, including:
- Dental cleanings
- Extractions
- Minor and major dental restorative services
Maximum yearly limits are applicable, and some services require copays or coinsurance.
Dental Services Related to Accidental Injury
The plan provides benefits under medical coverage for outpatient services, physician home visits and office services, emergency health care services, and urgent care services for dental work and oral surgery if they are for the initial repair of an injury to the jaw, sound natural teeth, mouth or face which are required as a result of an accident within 12 months from the injury.
