Renew Your Benefits

The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) restarted Medicaid eligibility renewals.

What does this mean for you?

It means you need to be sure MDHHS has all of the information it needs for you to renew your coverage.

If you receive the renewal form, you must complete it.

There are 3 easy steps you need to take to help determine if you still qualify for coverage:

Step 1

Update your contact information at www.Michigan.gov/MIBridges

For help or to update your contact information today:

Visit MI Bridges or contact your local MDHHS office. You can find your nearest MDHHS office at https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/inside-mdhhs/county-offices.

If you don’t have a MIBridges account, you will need to create one by selecting “Register.”  Once you’re in your own account, make sure to put all of your information in correctly. If you have to go back in and change something, put the changes in both the Profile section and the Report Changes section.

What you need to know about your Medicaid renewal:

  • You may have to fill out a new Medicaid renewal form every year to keep coverage.
  • If you receive the renewal form, you must complete it.
  • You will be asked to provide an update each time you renew about your income or immigration status because it could change from year to year.
  • Your Medicaid coverage could be closed if you provide incomplete information on the renewal form.
