DAYTON, Ohio (CareSource) —The Dayton Development Coalition (DDC) celebrated the Dayton Region’s 2024 economic development growth at its Annual Meeting + Economic Review last Wednesday at the newly renovated Dayton Convention Center. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine addressed the sold-out gathering of more than 650 community and business leaders. CareSource Chief Legal Officer Ed Stubbers provided the welcoming remarks around the “All Roads Lead to Dayton” themed event.
“CareSource’s tremendous growth and success in improving health outcomes is a testament to Dayton’s ability to innovate and lead. It reflects the entrepreneurial spirit that defines this community – where people come together, roll up their sleeves, and make things happen. And just as CareSource has stayed rooted here, its impact reaches far beyond Dayton, improving the lives of our members across the country.”
The DDC is the leading economic development organization for the 14-county Dayton Region. Working closely with public and private regional partners, its mission is to recruit, expand and retain jobs.
In 2024, Dayton area companies committed to create more than 2,559 new jobs and keep more than 8,257 jobs in our region. Those projects will generate more than $176 million in new payroll and $1.2 billion in capital investment. The numbers represent companies that worked with the DDC and JobsOhio to expand or establish new operations in the region.
