Recently, CareSource awarded a $60,000 grant to Morgan County United Ministries that enabled that organization to purchase a truck used to pick up food from the Southeast Ohio Foodbank. The truck will be used to transport food for the ministry’s monthly food distributions around the county. The truck is also used to pick up donations from retail businesses and individuals throughout South Central and Southeastern Ohio.

“We are deeply grateful for the incredibly generous donation from the CareSource Foundation,” said Stefanie Thompson, executive director of Morgan County United Ministries. “This truck will have an immediate and lasting impact on the families we serve, helping us provide essential food and extend God's love through practical support. We are honored to partner with an organization like CareSource that demonstrates such a compassionate commitment to our community.”

Morgan County United Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1985 and currently serves 500 households (including more than 1000 individuals) per month through the counties Manna Harvest Food Pantry. The 501(c)(3) non-profit relies heavily on donations from local churches and individuals to meet their growing needs for purchasing food. They also provide a place for workers that need to complete volunteer hours for SNAP benefits from Morgan County Job & Family Services.
