For three years, CareSource Georgia has recognized local community-serving organizations through the Heart of the Community Awards. This year, the organization presented its 2025 Heart of the Community Awards to 10 organizations at a luncheon in Atlanta. 2025 recipients include:

    • Postpartum Support International
    • American Cancer Society
    • Prevent Blindness Georgia
    • Georgia Health Initiative
    • Harris County School District
    • Atlanta HBCU Alumni Alliance
    • Rescuing Hope
    • Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation
    • Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA
    • Atlanta Habitat for Humanity

This distinguished group of organizations is making meaningful contributions to the health and well-being of CareSource members across Georgia. Their work ranges from supporting postpartum mental health to fighting cancer, combating human trafficking and expanding access to affordable housing.

“Our partners are at the heart of everything we do,” said Taura White, CareSource associate vice president, population health. “These organizations have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving health outcomes, providing health education, addressing social drivers of health and bridging access to care in ways that directly improve lives in the communities they serve. We are honored to celebrate, support and take part in their efforts.”

Each organization recognized reflects the spirit of community care that defines CareSource’s approach to improving the lives of members and their communities. Award recipients received a monetary donation to enhance services and expand programs.
