CareSource PASSE proudly sponsored Victory Lane at the highly anticipated Special Olympics Arkansas Summer Games held at Harding University. This year, more than 1,400 athletes and coaches enthusiastically participated, making it a memorable event for all involved.

The Summer Games, considered the crown jewel of the Special Olympics Arkansas calendar, provided a platform for athletes to compete in a variety of sports, including Track and Field, bocce, flag football, powerlifting, swimming, and tennis. Each race, every game, and all the competitions held during this event represented countless weeks of training, preparation and unwavering dedication on the part of the athletes, coaches and volunteers.

Under the scorching sun, with temperatures soaring, CareSource PASSE's care coordinators and health partners proved to be a beacon of support on Victory Lane. Encouraging participants throughout the day, they offered words of motivation and diligently distributed water to help combat the heat.

“Special Olympics Arkansas appreciates the support of CareSource PASSE,” said Camie Powell, Director of Marketing and Partnerships Special Olympics Arkansas. “2023 Summer Games was a huge event for us as we returned to full event programming post pandemic. Victory Lane provides a great avenue for athletes to relax and have fun between competitions. It also allows athletes, parents, and coaches a chance to meet with vendors and ask questions. We look forward to enhancing Victory Lane in 2024 and we cannot wait to see what other exciting things CareSource Passe brings to the event.”

"We are proud to support the Special Olympics and its incredible athletes through our sponsorship. At CareSource PASSE, we believe in the power of inclusivity and providing opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to showcase their abilities,” said David Donohue, president of CareSource PASSE. “Special Olympics Arkansas embodies these values, promoting physical fitness, camaraderie, and personal growth. Through our support, we aim to foster a more inclusive society and empower individuals to reach their full potential.
