In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian and to assist individuals and communities impacted, the CareSource Foundation donated $50,000 to the Florida Disaster Fund.

“CareSource understands how devastating Hurricane Ian was for people living in the storm’s path,” said Jenny Michael, senior vice president of advocacy, marketing and communication at CareSource. “As a growing health care organization, we’re invested in the well-being, health and resilience of everyone impacted by this disaster.”

The Florida Disaster Fund is the state of Florida’s official private fund established to provide financial assistance to communities as they respond to and recover from times of emergency or disaster. In partnership with public, private and other non-governmental organizations, the Florida Disaster Fund supports response and recovery activities.

The CareSource Foundation regularly supports the American Red Cross, United Way and other emergency response organizations to assist with disaster situations.
