CareSource welcomes Dwayne Flowers as vice president of market operations for Georgia

ATLANTA (CareSource) - CareSource, a nonprofit managed care organization, recently appointed Dwayne Flowers as vice president, market operations for Georgia. With a commitment to improving the member experience, Flowers will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure CareSource delivers meaningful benefits to the people and communities it serves. By developing and executing operational strategies, Flowers aims to strengthen provider networks, enhance access to quality care and support better health outcomes for members across the state.

“Dwayne brings a wealth of industry experience and a proven track record of driving large-scale initiatives to improve care access and delivery,” said Jason Bearden, market president, CareSource Georgia. “His deep understanding of Georgia’s health care landscape and commitment to service will be instrumental in advancing our mission to redefine expectations for the health care industry by reinvesting in members and communities and supporting innovation.”

With more than 20 years of experience in managed Medicaid and other government-sponsored programs, Flowers has held key leadership roles at Centene, where he successfully led Georgia’s WellCare Integration and Synergy Initiative. He also played a central role in building and expanding Ambetter’s provider networks across Georgia and Tennessee.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, Flowers attended Norfolk State University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Virginia. He brings to CareSource not only deep operational expertise, but also a spirit of service and community.
