DAYTON, Ohio (CARESOURCE) - On April 16, CareSource was awarded the Premier Health Workplace Diversity Award at the Dayton Area Chamber annual meeting.

The Premier Health Workplace Diversity Award recognizes organizations and companies that are role models in their local community as strong advocates for diversity and inclusion.

Since 2006, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and the National Conference for Community & Justice of Greater Dayton (NCCJ) have awarded organizations and companies that foster an inclusive work environment in which all employees are inspired to contribute their best through their different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences.

“At CareSource, we are committed to fostering a workplace culture that promotes innovation, diversity, dedication and the well-being of all our employees,” said Jennifer Dougherty, Chief Human Resources Officer at CareSource. “We believe achieving our mission is directly tied to the success and satisfaction of our employees. We are proud to be recognized for our ongoing efforts in support of culture, inclusion and innovation by many organizations, including Great Places to Work, the Human Rights campaign, the Governor of Ohio, Fortune Magazine, and Newsweek.”

In 2017, the Greater Dayton Workplace Diversity Award was renamed to honor the award’s first winner, Premier Health, recognizing the company as the gold standard for diversity in the workplace.

“Our employee value proposition – At CareSource, the difference is you – reflects our belief that each unique member of our team can make a positive impact on our culture and a lasting difference in our members’ lives,” added Dougherty. “We value our employees and recognize that outstanding member care is only possible through our outstanding people. We strive to build and nurture an environment where all our employees feel safe, included, motivated and recognized.”

CareSource previously won the award in 2007.
