DAYTON, Ohio (CareSource) — CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit managed care organization, announced Tuesday it has committed $1,000,000 to the Franklin County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board’s new Crisis Care Center which opens later this summer.
“The new Franklin County Crisis Care Center stands as a testament to our community’s commitment to do better for individuals and families experiencing mental health of addiction crises,” said ADAMH CEO Erika Clark Jones. “We are grateful for CareSource’s partnership and investment, helping to ensure our vision for enhanced crisis care became a reality for Franklin County.”
The Franklin County Crisis Center will become the newest destination in Franklin County for adult mental health and addiction crisis needs. It will provide a safe and secure location offering a full array of services with integrated peer support at all levels. The crisis center is intended to benefit everyone from individuals in crisis and their families to the overcrowded hospitals and first responders currently stretched to their limits.
“Expanding access to critical behavioral health resources as Franklin County is doing with its new crisis center is innovative, responsive and caring,” said Dee Yocum, Interim president of CareSource Ohio. “It’s the same approach CareSource takes to our mission every day and we are glad to partner with the ADAMH Board to support this important new resource. We believe it will produce valuable results and supports for those in need, and we’re excited to help make that happen.”
The Franklin County Crisis Care Center is operated by Recovery Innovations, a behavioral health care not-for-profit that has pioneered and operates 24/7 crisis emergency centers in seven states across the United States. Recovery Innovations has over 30 years experience providing emergency care to adults experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis.
