BROOKFIELD, Wis. (July 16, 2025) — CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit managed care organization, is accepting submissions for the CareSource Foundation Grant Challenge. Through this competitive funding opportunity, CareSource will award a total of $200K to six nonprofit organizations that are significantly impacting community health and social needs across Wisconsin.
The grant challenge is designed to support efforts that align with CareSource’s mission of providing whole-person care. Selected organizations will receive grants to either expand existing programs or launch initiatives that address the needs of some of Wisconsin’s most vulnerable populations.
“CareSource is proud to invest in the people and organizations that are building stronger communities in Wisconsin,” said Cathy Mahaffey, CEO, Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative and CareSource Market President. “Through the Grant Challenge, organizations submit their most innovative ideas for helping people, including those with disabilities and mental health issues, to overcome barriers. Not only do the grants support their work but also spotlight best practices from which Wisconsin can benefit.”
Eligible applicants include Wisconsin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with programs that align with our priority funding areas, which include mental health initiatives, services for individuals with special needs and expanded offerings at free clinics.
The CareSource Foundation is accepting applications from June 17 to August 7, 2025. Once the nomination period closes, the selection committee will choose the top six organizations to move on to public voting. Each organization selected for public voting will receive at least $25K in grant funding, with the top two organizations receiving $50K. Winners will be announced on September 24, 2025.
