CareSource Leader Joins the Health Policy Institute of Ohio’s (HPIO) Board of Directors

Tia Marcel Moretti shares focus on independent, non-partisan health policy analysis.

(DAYTON, OH – January 5, 2022) – The Board of Directors of Health Policy Institute of Ohio’s (HPIO) announced the adoption of a new mission statement and appointment of seven board members including CareSource AVP Behavioral Health Integration Tia Marcel Moretti.

“We’re pleased to welcome Tia Marcel Moretti to HPIO’s Board of Directors,” said HPIO President Amy Rohling McGee. “With her strong professional background in behavioral health, her public and private sector knowledge, and her proven commitment to health equity, Tia brings a wealth of experience to HPIO. We appreciate her willingness to contribute to our mission of advancing evidence-informed policies that improve health, achieve equity, and lead to sustainable healthcare spending in Ohio.”

HPIO’s revised mission is to “advance evidence-informed policies that improve health, achieve equity, and lead to sustainable healthcare spending in Ohio.”

“I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to serve on the board of HPIO as we continue to advocate for behavioral health integration,” said Moretti. “The importance of policy advocacy to shape greater and more holistic health care for CareSource members and all Ohioans is my passion and the opportunity to serve in this capacity is a great honor.”

CareSource, a nonprofit multi-state managed care plan, is committed to collaborating with partners across the health care industry to improve quality of care and member outcomes. Organizations like HPIO play an important role in achieving that goal for Ohioans.
