ATLANTA (Feb. 24, 2026) – Employees of CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit managed care organization serving more than 430,000 Georgians, came together through the organization’s annual workplace giving campaign to support FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress), a nonprofit organization serving families of children with disabilities.

“The generosity of our employees shows the heart of CareSource. “It reflects our belief that health care should reach beyond coverage and services to strengthen families and support healthier, more resilient communities,” said David Donohue, CareSource Georgia president. “The mission of FOCUS resonates deeply with us, and that is evident in the way CareSource team members rallied behind this effort.”

The Workplace Giving effort, along with an additional donation from CareSource Georgia, raised $100,000 in total.

FOCUS serves families across Georgia through year-round wraparound support, including parent respite, sibling support, equipment assistance, social programming and therapeutic recreation designed to reduce isolation and improve quality of life for both children and caregivers. The organization focuses on the whole family experience, recognizing that when caregivers are supported, children with complex needs are better positioned to connect and succeed.

“Support like this directly fuels programs that make everyday life better for FOCUS families,” said Frances McBrayer, FOCUS executive director. “We are grateful for CareSource employees whose generosity helps ensure children with disabilities and their families have access to meaningful experiences and critical resources.”

In partnership with Camp Twin Lakes, FOCUS also operates a fully accessible, medically supported camp experience where children can build independence and friendships in a safe environment, while caregivers receive vital respite and peace of mind.

This annual employee giving campaign encourages employees to come together, lean into the organization's mission, and make a real impact on causes that matter to them. As a cornerstone of CareSource's culture, the program amplifies employee contributions and makes it easy for employees to give back.  Part of a broad initiative across multiple states, CareSource employees raised more than $255,000 in 2025 for organizations focused on three key causes: enhancing children’s literacy, providing essential support to children and families in foster care and empowering children with disabilities through therapeutic and recreational programming.
