ATLANTA (May 9, 2018) – CareSource, Georgia’s first and only nonprofit managed care organization, presented the Children’s Museum of Atlanta with a check for $2,500 as a part of the People’s Choice Grant Awards.

Since 2010 the CareSource People’s Choice Award has been an employee driven investment into the nonprofits that are closest to their hearts. CareSource team members are given the opportunity, each quarter, to nominate, vote on, and ultimately award grants to their favorite nonprofits. Since the initial call, $445,000 have been invested into nonprofits of our employee’s choosing.

“The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is an invaluable asset to the Atlanta community,” said Bobby Jones, president of the Georgia market for CareSource. “We are honored to present the $2,500 People’s Choice Grant Award to help fund the indispensable services the organization provides to the community.”

Children’s Museum of Atlanta is the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta, presenting educational programs and exhibits designed for young children ages 0-8. The Museum features bright, creative, hands-on exhibits designed to promote inventive problem solving, creative thinking and artistic expression.

“We are thankful to CareSource for this generous grant,” said Karen Kelly, Director of Exhibits and Education, Children’s Museum of Atlanta. “This grant will help us in our continued mission of making the Children’s Museum of Atlanta as a premier place of learning for children.”

The Children’s Museum of Atlanta was presented with the $2,500 check today at the museum.
