CareSource Nevada and Blueberry Pediatrics collaborate for families enrolled in Nevada Medicaid and Nevada Check-Up

LAS VEGAS (Feb. 17, 2026) – CareSource Nevada and Blueberry Pediatrics today announced a partnership to expand access to high-quality pediatric care for children enrolled in Nevada Medicaid and Nevada Check-Up, with a focus on families living in the state’s rural and frontier counties.

With approximately 27% of Nevada’s rural population accessing health care through Medicaid, this new partnership expands pediatric care access for thousands of CareSource members living in rural counties. Blueberry Pediatrics delivers 24/7 virtual pediatric care through a network of board-certified pediatricians, supported by in-home diagnostic clinical tools, including a digital otoscope (earscope), a pulse oximeter, and a thermometer. Every enrolled family receives a Blueberry Medical Kit, enabling physicians to conduct real clinical assessments remotely and resolve many pediatric needs without requiring an in-person visit.

“Through our partnership with Blueberry, we’re effectively extending pediatric access to Nevada frontier and rural communities by bringing high-quality, convenient care to children in communities where traditional infrastructure doesn’t exist,” said Jayme Puu, Chief Executive Officer of CareSource Nevada. “Expanding access is a core promise to our members, and we’re proud to help lead that transformation in Nevada.”

"Nevada represents the ultimate challenge in health care access. It shows us that if we rely only on traditional office visits, too many kids get left behind,” said Rich Berner, Chief Executive Officer of Blueberry Pediatrics. “By solving this in Nevada’s most remote communities, we aren't just helping local families—we are proving that high-quality care is possible anywhere."

The collaboration reflects CareSource Nevada’s commitment to strengthening pediatric access across the Silver State and offers a model for other states pursuing rural health transformation strategies focused on access, quality and sustainability.

CareSource members aged 18 and younger, except those living in Clark and Washoe counties, can learn how to register online. Members residing in Clark and Washoe Counties will be able to register starting April 1.
