HOW TO CHOOSE CARESOURCE

Medicaid health plans are available to people in Nevada who qualify, including individuals with low income, children, older adults, and people with disabilities. CareSource is available across the state and is the only nonprofit Medicaid plan.

Choose CareSource

When you apply for Nevada Medicaid, you can choose CareSource as your health plan. You can apply online, by mail, over the phone, or in person at your local Division of Social Services (DSS) office. When you apply, let them know you want to choose CareSource as your plan.

Switch to CareSource

If you already have a Medicaid plan and want to switch to CareSource, you have options. You can call the Nevada Medicaid hotline or complete a change form here within your first 90 days of enrollment. If you have had your plan for more than 90 days, you can switch during the next open enrollment period.

Nevada Medicaid’s Care Plans

Nevada Medicaid’s health plans are made to give you care that fits your needs. You can look at the plans and sign up online at www.medicaid.nv.gov or call Nevada Medicaid at (800) 992-0900. Helpers are there Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pacific time. They can answer your questions about enrollment and have interpreters if needed.
