Dave Thomas is the president of CareSource’s Ohio market and brings more than 35 years of experience driving strategic growth and market expansion across the government programs sector. Before joining CareSource, he served as the CEO of markets and Medicaid at Centene, where he oversaw health plans serving more than 20 million members across 31 states. He also served as president and CEO of Fidelis Care, a leading government programs health insurance provider.

Dave has played a pivotal role in advancing high-performing health plans by blending operational insight with a commitment to member-focused care. His approach has consistently supported membership growth while strengthening organizations’ positions as trusted market leaders.

As Ohio market president for CareSource, Dave is helping to shape a healthier Ohio by expanding collaboration with government and community partners, elevating operational performance and advancing health outcomes through innovative, member-centric solutions.

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the State University of New York at Albany and a master’s degree in business administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College (NY) in Manhattan.
