CARESOURCE PARTNERS WITH ONCOLOGY RESEARCH PLATFORM TO PROVIDE MEMBERS WITH VALUE-BASED CANCER CARE

(Dayton, OH – June 12, 2019) CareSource implemented Eviti® Connect from NantHealth, Inc, (NASDAQ: NH) on June 1.  Eviti Connect allows members to access the most up-to-date cancer regimens and research, as well more than 6,000 clinical trials. The online, evidence-based medicine library and clinical trials database within Eviti Connect helps oncologists find the best treatment options for members and obtain insurance authorization in real time.

With Eviti Connect, CareSource will improve the quality of care provided to members and help oncologists provide the best treatment for members, reduce provider administrative burden and decrease the turnaround time for patients to receive care.  Another highlight of Eviti Connect for oncology providers includes the peer-support network in which oncologists can consult with each other about treatment options for their patients.

“Having to wait for a doctor to get approval for treatment can be agonizing for cancer patients and researching cancer treatments can be overwhelming,” said Clayton Edwards, Senior Vice President of Pharmacy for CareSource. “Our providers will now be able to get authorization for drug treatment regimens in real-time, with more accuracy and efficiency, and our members will benefit from the most current, nationally recognized drug treatment for their type of cancer.”

“We are privileged to support CareSource in their mission to provide the most appropriate and latest evidence-based treatments to their members and the selection of NantHealth underscores the value that Eviti Connect brings to the market,” said Ron Louks, Chief Operating Officer of NantHealth. “Eviti Connect will help CareSource improve their claim processing efficiency, streamline the pre-authorization process for cancer treatments and reduce denials and appeals.  We expect this partnership to expand Eviti Connect’s total covered lives to over 25 million.”
