Finding Care and Your Rights

Find Providers

Find LGBTQ+ affirming providers. They know and understand the needs of LGBTQ+ people. Not all the providers listed are in our network. Please check the Find a Doctor tool first.

Things to Keep in Mind When Getting Care

  • Be open and honest with your provider. This helps them get to know you and give you the best care.
  • Be prepared. Write down all the topics you want to cover and bring that to your visit. This way, you won’t forget all that you want to talk about.
  • Do not be afraid to ask questions. If you do not understand what they are telling you, it’s important to ask questions so that you do.
  • Bring someone you trust. If you do not want to go alone, bring a friend or loved one with you.

Know your Rights

Know the rights you have when you or someone you love gets care.
