Each quarter you receive an OTC allowance of $375. Spend it on items, from our OTC catalog, like toothpaste, vitamins, denture cleaner and much more. You can shop through these options:

  • Portal
  • myTotal Benefits mobile app
  • Over the phone
  • Mail in order form
  • In-person at participating retailers using your FlexCard

You must use your allowance by the end of each quarter. Below outlines the calendar quarters.

  • Quarter 1: January-March
  • Quarter 2: April-June
  • Quarter 3: July-September
  • Quarter 4: October-December

Your Prepaid OTC FlexCard

FlexCard exampleYou must activate your card before use. To activate your card, call 1-866-275-3905 (TTY: 711) and select option 1. You will need your card number and expiration date available before the call. You can also visit CareSourceFlexCard.com. On the website select Manage Card on the dropdown under My Account (top right on web browser). Once activated the card may be used for purchases as a credit transaction. No PIN is needed.

Didn’t Receive Your FlexCard?

If you do not receive your card or it is lost or stolen, call United Medco Member Advocates at 1-866-257-3905 (TTY: 711) to request a replacement card. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m ET. Cards are mailed via the U.S. Postal Service and typically take 5-7 business days

NOTE: Keep this card. It will be loaded each benefit period. Funds expire and will no longer be available at the end of each benefit period.

Order Your OTC Items

Online (Portal only)

Ordering through the OTC catalog is quick and easy with our CareSourceFlexCard portal. You can also use the myTotalBenefits mobile app. To order through the portal, create an account, enter your CareSource member ID number and date of birth. Once you are signed in, you can easily shop available products!

Note: You can only order OTC products through the CareSourceFlexCard.com portal or the myTotalBenefits mobile app.

Participating Pharmacy or Retailer (In-Person only)

You can use your FlexCard (debit card) in-person at participating retailers and pharmacies. Click Find a Store in the online portal to find a retailer or pharmacy near you! OTC categories can be found under the Over-the-Counter Benefit Section of the online portal. All purchases through a participating retailer must be made in person.


You can use the OTC catalog to fill out an order form to mail to us. OTC catalogs are mailed at the start of the benefit year or upon your enrollment. You can also download the catalog or order form at the top of this page. Mail your completed order form to:

Use the OTC catalog to order products over the phone. Call United Medco Member Advocates at 1-866-257-3905 (TTY: 711) to place your order. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m ET.

NOTE: Orders take an average of 3-7 business days to arrive at your doorstep from the shipment date. Tracking and updates are available on the ordering portal.

Access the Portal

You can find information about your OTC allowance through the CareSourceFlexCard portal or via the myTotal Benefits mobile app. Through these portals you can:

  • Track your balance and OTC catalog orders
  • Shop and place an order through the portal
  • See a list of participating retailers and pharmacies
  • Find a store near you to use your OTC allowance
  • Scan products to see if they qualify
  • And see an approved list of the products you can buy with your OTC allowance!
