Waiver Services

Waiver services are person-centered services to help you meet your daily needs. Waiver services can help you stay independent so you can grow older in your own home with the support you may need. You may qualify if you are:

  • 18 years or older.
  • Fully eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Enrolled in a MyCare Ohio plan.
  • Meet an intermediate or skilled level of care as determined by the State of Ohio rules.

Waiver services include a variety of things. They include personal aide services, home delivered meals, chore services, home modification and more.

With waiver services, you will have a Care Manager who approves services based on your needs using a Service Plan. It shows the name of the agency or person who will provide each service. It also shows how often you get the service. You can access your service plan through your My CareSource account or you can print a copy. Each time the service plan is updated by a care manager, you will receive a copy.

Please see your Waiver member handbook on our Plan Documents page for more details. If you need a hard copy of this handbook, please let us know.

Incidents

If you are a CareSource MyCare Ohio member with waiver services, you may get help from many different people. These people may give you personal care or help with daily chores in your home. They help you stay healthy and safe.

If the care you get ever causes you harm or makes you afraid, this is called an “incident.” We want you to know how to report incidents. Your health and safety is very important to us. To learn more about how to report incidents, please see your Waiver member handbook on our Plan Documents page.
