Transportation

Basic Transportation

If you have to travel 30 miles or more to get your health care services, we will give you a ride. These health care trips can be for:

  • Visits to your provider
  • Medicaid renewal appointments with Job and Family Services
  • Pharmacies to pick up your prescriptions

When possible, please call Member Services to schedule your transportation 48 hours before you need a ride. You can get a ride in the same day for urgent trips like:

  • When you are discharged from the hospital
  • Need to go to an urgent care
  • Need to go to your provider for an urgent visit

Let us know if you have any special needs ahead of time. Examples are if you use a walker or wheelchair, need to meet at a back entrance, or do not have a phone where the driver can reach you. This will help us better meet your needs.

When traveling less than 30 miles to get your health care services, you can also get help with transportation for certain services through the local County Department of Job and Family Services Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) program.

Enhanced Transportation

If you get both your Medicare and Medicaid through CareSource, you get even more transportation benefits. Get rides for an unlimited number of trips to:

  • Health care visits
  • Renewal appointments with Job and Family Services
  • Pharmacies to pick up your prescriptions
  • Gyms
  • Grocery stores
  • Community and wellness services or events

Schedule your ride or learn more by calling Member Services at 1855-475-3163 (TTY: 1-833-711-4711 or 711). You can also call us if you have a complaint.
