We contract with select integrated health care systems

We work with certain health care systems and providers who agree to accept a set amount of money for the services covered by our plan. However, we do not officially recommend the providers in our network.

When choosing our provider partners, we do not look at quality, member experience, or cost. But we do check how well providers are doing and how happy patients are with them. We share this information with our providers to help make sure that members have a good experience when they use in-network care.

We also think about how easy it is for most members to access the providers in our service area. We want our partners to support our mission: to invest in programs and organizations that make a real difference in our members’ lives and help improve their health and well-being.

We try our best to keep the provider directory accurate. We update it based on the information we get directly from the providers who participate. They are responsible for keeping their information up to date. If the information they provide is incorrect, the directory might have mistakes. At least every three years, we check the provider’s specialty, board certification, and accreditation as part of the process to ensure they are qualified to provide care.
