More than 60 CareSource volunteers braved gray, steamy conditions and traveled nearly 30 miles southeast to Greeneview High School in Jamestown, Ohio on Tuesday, July 25 for the second of six CareSource food distributions of the year.

“The Foodbank is honored to continue to partner with CareSource to meet the food needs of our community,” said Michelle L. Riley, CEO of The Foodbank, Inc. “More than 180 households were served at our first Jamestown mini-mass food distribution. CareSource volunteers spent the morning loading cars with bags of chicken, sweet potatoes, cabbage, watermelons, lentils and rice.

“We were pleased to partner with The Foodbank for the Jamestown food distribution which served 186 families,” said Deena Hummel, Market Service Manager at CareSource.  “Our CareSource volunteers were full of enthusiasm and a giving spirit—making all Greene County neighbors feel welcome and appreciated throughout the morning.”
