Covered Services

  • What doctors and hospitals are covered by CareSource?

    • You can find a list of providers that are covered by CareSource using our Find A Doctor/Provider online search tool. The tool lets you search by area, specialty and much more.

      P4HB members can also use out-of-network providers.

  • Can I get a ride to my doctor appointments?

    • Yes! P4HB Inter-pregnancy care members can get rides to and from their health care visits. Members in the North or Atlanta regions can call Southeastrans toll-free at 1-866-388-9844 to arrange a ride. Members in the Center, East or Southwest regions should call LogistiCare toll-free at 1-888-224-7988 to schedule a ride.

Joining CareSource

  • How can I become a member of CareSource?

    • CareSource provides health care and extra benefits to Georgia Families® members enrolled in Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® and women enrolled in Planning for Healthy Babies® (P4HB®). You can choose CareSource if you are eligible for Georgia Families® and P4HB® benefits in the following ways:

      • Online. Go to the Georgia Gateway, sign in and renew your benefits.
      • By Phone. Call 1-888-GA-Enroll (1-888-423-6765). Business hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
      • By Mail. Fill out the form and mail it back right away to DFCS. Find the address to your local county office here.
      • In Person. Visit your local county DFCS office. Find the address to your local county office here.
    • How can I learn more about the benefits CareSource offers?

      • Call Member Services: 1-855-202-0729 (TTY: 1-800-255-0056 or 711), 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Get a CareSource member ID Card, Plan Documents or Change Your Doctor

  • How do I get a new CareSource member ID card?

    • You can get a new member ID card by logging in to your My CareSource account and clicking Request ID Card. You can also download our mobile app and view your ID card on the go. Or, you can call Member Services for a new member ID card.
  • How do I get a new CareSource member handbook or provider directory?

    • All new members receive a welcome letter and postage-paid request cards for both a member handbook and a provider directory. If you want either of these all you have to do is drop the card in the mail to us! We’ll mail you what you requested. You can also view copies online or call Member Services.
  • How do I select or change my primary care provider (PCP)?

    • You are not required to see the primary care provider (PCP) listed on your ID card. If you are not happy with your PCP, you can log in to your My CareSource account to choose a new doctor. You can change your PCP to another provider who participates with CareSource. You can change up to once a month, if needed. For the names of the PCPs in the CareSource network, please use the Find A Doctor/Provider tool.

    • What if I have a health question after hours?

      • Our nurses are here to answer your health questions any time – day or night. Get help with how to care for an illness or injury at home or when to go to a doctor or the ER.

        CareSource24® is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Call the number on the back of your ID card.

    • How can I get help in another language or format?

      • You can call CareSource Member Services. We can get someone who can sign or speak your language to help you talk with us or your doctor. And it is free.
